The U.S. Department of Defense has announced the deployment of a newly upgraded radar system capable of detecting hypersonic missile threats. The system, known as the Long Range Discrimination Radar (LRDR), is now fully operational in Alaska. It uses advanced algorithms and machine learning to track high-speed objects in near space and is considered a vital component of U.S. homeland defense.
